High-pressure coolant unit
HPF Visco 120
Oil under control. Pressure programmed into the NC cycle.
The HPF Visco 120 unit is an oil-based high-pressure system for Swiss-type automatic lathes and precision turning: up to 120 bar, 22 l/min and multiple pressure levels called by M-codes.

What you gain
Up to 120 bar on oil
The pressure range supports processes that need jet energy in a confined working area.
M-code control
Pressure can change together with the tool and the current NC program step.
A better path for the chip
A directed jet supports chip breaking and evacuation from the turning zone.
Easy filter servicing
Service access simplifies periodic filter-element replacement and shortens routine maintenance.
Warranty and configuration options
Options*
- second and further HPC outlets*
- spindle / sub-spindle flushing*
- coolant gun*
Research data
with high-pressure neat cutting oil and emulsion; conventional cooling produced continuous snarled chips [2]
24 min with high-pressure neat cutting oil versus 12 min with cryogenic cooling [1]
maximum reduction reported in the Inconel 718 and Ti-6Al-4V turning study [3]
Research data + process architecture
Why pressure and jet direction matter when machining with cutting oil
Tool life in Ti-6Al-4V turning
In Ti-6Al-4V turning, high-pressure neat cutting oil delivered 24 min tool life at vc 85 m/min and f 0.2 mm/rev; cryogenic cooling delivered 12 min. [1]

These are independent trials, some at pressures above the Visco range. They demonstrate mechanisms and the importance of selection, not a guaranteed HPF Visco 120 result.
What the unit adds to the cycle
-
1
A process-matched medium
The unit works with the cutting oil used in precision turning.
-
2
Pressure on demand
An M-code calls the level required by the current tool and operation.
-
3
A jet at the edge
Oil reaches closer to the tool-chip interface and helps reduce friction.
-
4
Chip control
Jet momentum helps break and push chips out of the confined cutting zone.
